Finally, we proudly lead and support the International Rehabilitation Forum, an academic consortium dedicated to building medical rehabilitation wherever it is missing. The IRF has led changes in international policy, launched the academic field of disaster rehabilitation, and built training programs for both aspiring low-resource rehabilitation professionals and for American students who want to contribute and learn overseas. The IRF is registered as a 501-c-3 not-for-profit organization in the United States and is eligible for competing US government grant opportunities. It can often be the right partner for some international projects.
